Our story began with a simple mission: to keep trucks on the road and businesses moving.
At Pacey Truck Services, our story is built on hard work, dedication, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality service. It all began in 1979, when Phil Pacey, driven by a passion for trucks and a vision for excellence, opened the doors of our first workshop in Otahuhu, Auckland. His goal was simple: to provide the trucking community with a level of service and reliability that no one else could match. Over the years, that vision turned into a trusted name—one that truck owners could count on for everything from servicing to sales.
For over four decades, Pacey Truck Services was the go-to for truck rentals, sales, and expert servicing. The business became a cornerstone of Auckland’s transport industry, built on a reputation for reliability, quality, and customer care. But as with all great companies, the story didn’t end there.
In 2015, after leading the business to success, Phil decided it was time to retire and pass the company’s reins to a new owner. Metua Umaki, a skilled mechanic with a passion for trucks and a bold vision, took over the business. Metua didn’t just maintain the legacy—he reinvented it.

Metua’s first priority was to focus on what we do best: exceptional truck servicing. But he wasn’t content with just staying the course. In 2019, he introduced motor body repairs and panel beating to expand our offerings and provide a more comprehensive service for our customers. These additions made Pacey Truck Services a true one-stop shop for all things truck care, from servicing and repairs to expert body work.

But here’s where our story takes a bold turn: We are working hard to become New Zealand’s #1 truck servicing provider. It’s not just a goal—it’s our mission. We are relentlessly dedicated to putting in the work, day after day, to get there.
